
Biography of Grand Master Jun
Grand Master Jun was born in Seoul, Korea in 1936. He began his martial arts training studying Chang Moo Kwan . His Master was Lee Nam Suk, the co-founder of Chang Moo Kwan
In 1957, he became the Founder and President of the Chang Moo Kwan in the Pusan District in southeast Korea.
At the age of 23, Grand Master Jun was selected as Instructor of the Republic of Korea Special Forces (1959).
In 1961, he became the Director of the Tae Soo Do Association in the Pusan District of Korea.
Five years later, in 1966, Grand Master Jun toured the world performing exhibitions and training Masters and Instructors in Asia, Europe, and America.
In 1972, Grand Master Jun was selected as President of the US National Chang Moo Kwan in the USA.
In 1974, Grand Master Jun founded and became President of the American Taekwondo Union (ATU). He also opened up his main school in Tampa at 1303 East Busch Blvd. where he instructs daily.
1975 - Grand Master Jun was certified as an International Certified Master Instructor by both World TaeKwonDo Federation and Kukkiwon.
In 1986, Grand Master Yung Ho Jun received his 9th Degree Black Belt from the Chang Moo Kwan.
In 1990, Grand Master Jun received his 9th Degree Black Belt by the Kukkiwon.
In 1997, along with three other Grand Masters, he founded Ko Am Mu Do to better present the techniques and philosophy to modern martial artists.
In 2002, Grand Master Jun was elected President of the World Chang Moo Kwan Federation.
In 2008, Grand Master Jun was inducted into the Grand Master's Hall of Fame by the United States TaeKwonDo Grand Masters Society with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
In 2008, Grand Master Jun was appointed Advisor of U.S. Tae Kwon Do Grand Master's Society. He was also appointed International Advisor to the Kukkiwon.
